Ben Reynolds accompanied by Beth Brooks on piano will open the weekend on Friday 19 March at Murwillumbah's century-old Salvation Army Citadel. The following day will offer a free concert when Shani Forrester followed by the Trombone Kellie Gang will have the audience wanting more with their mighty exhibition of jazz swing, blues and soul when they perform at the Makers and Finders Market in Knox Park, Murwillumbah. Bring chairs or blankets and eat lunch while enjoying music in the park. That night the Regent Cinema top local jazz musician, Martha Baartz together with Sharny Russell will come together in a concert event to pay tribute to the late Ella Fitzgerald, otherwise known as 'The Queen of Jazz'. Their show will be followed Jake Bryant and Friends performing a big band, swing, jazz and funk outfit comprising legendary Northern Rivers musicians. The final concert on Sunday 21 March features Louise King's solo cello show, Into The Dreaming, offering listeners a glimpse into contemporary music for cello. Hear the evocative sounds of the bush, didgeridoo bowing, musical bird calls, the sounds of stars in the night-sky and the haunting summoning of spirits past. Her show will be preceded by a recital of duets from top emerging musicians, Charlie Priest and Hayden Mears.
