Youth injured after running in front of truck on Pacific Hwy

A COFFS Harbour teenager is lucky not to have been killed after he ran into the path of a semi-trailer on the Pacific Highway. 

The 18-year-old fell to the roadway after he was struck by the front left-hand side of the prime mover.

Police said the incident happened at the highway intersection with Park Beach Rd on Sunday at 11.55pm.

The man was treated at the scene by Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police said the youth was well affected by alcohol at the time.
