Big changes in young people's Casino Show fashion over years

HAVE a look at show fashion and you can see that times, they are a changin' when it comes to youth at the show.

In the old days there were plenty of suits and hats, with the ladies showing off their handmade dresses.

These days it's more about sensible trousers and colourful shirts.

But one thing sure hasn't altered, and that is a passion for agriculture among the young people.

In fact, there's plenty in the know who reckon there's more involvement of young people in the farming sector than folk have seen for many decades.

At this year's Casino Show there will be a competition between young agriculturalists and challenging comers in the form of the "Young Farmer challenge" which includes timed challenges including splitting wood, cracking the whip, erecting a fencepost and applying first aid.
