Some of the highlights reported for the year were improvements to the youth centre and Memorial Park.

The council spent $3.86 million on maintenance of urban and rural roads, including $2.03 million on flood damage restoration from the floods in December 2010 and January 2012.

The Kyogle Main Street Redevelopment project continued throughout the year with expenditure of $772,000 of funding from the Federal Government's Stimulus Package Strategic Projects Program.

In addition, $591,000 was spent on maintenance and rehabilitation of timber bridges and $105,000 on a continuing program of rehabilitation of major stormwater culverts.
