Youth arrested over alleged Goonellabah robbery

Police have arrested a teenager over an alleged violent robbery at Liquorland Goonellabah on Sunday.

Lisore police Inspector Matt Kehoe said at 11.30 am on Tuesday police conducted a search warrant on an address at Shearman Drive, Goonellabah.

"At that location they arrested a 17-year-old aboriginal male," he said.

Insp Kehoe said the teenager was charged with aggravated robbery and appeared at Lismore Childrens court where he was refused bail and will reappear next week.

"Investigations are ongoing in regards to the identity of the other two alleged offenders."
