Young woman dead from spinal injuries after 4-vehicle crash

THE Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal four vehicle traffic crash at Southport yesterday.

Initial information indicates at around 11:20pm yesterday a vehicle was travelling south along the Marine Parade (also called Gold Coast Highway) when it has crossed to the other side of the road and hit three vehicles travelling north.

The driver of one the vehicles travelling north, a 22-year-old female, has died as a result of injuries she sustained in the crash.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact police.
