Mr Gibson, who has been running his business for eight years, said it was always good to hear their customers appreciated them.

He said they might have received so many votes "probably because we're honest and reliable tradesmen, a good group of young guys. We've worked hard on our reputation," he said.

When asked what he loved about his job as a painter, he said it all linked back to seeing a smile on the face of a customer at the end of a job.

"To see something go from what it was to what it is now, the end result, it's very rewarding," he said.
