Yoga, Tea and Human Rights

Everybody should be treated with dignity but unfortunately we live in a world where human rights are not afforded to everyone.

Indeed there are atrocities being committed against people everywhere.

That is why organisations such as Amnesty International are so important.

The work Amnesty does to stop human rights abuses and make positive change in the world is vital.

To maintain this work they do not receive funding from any Government sources, allowing them the freedom to call human rights abuses where ever they are, never compromised by relying on money from possible abusers.

Instead all the funds that support the important work of Amnesty is raised through donations and fundraising.

On August 27 Amnesty are holding the AmnesTEA fundraising campaign, encouraging people to get together, share tea and raise funds for human rights.

At Siri Shakti Yoga -Kundalini Yoga & Mediatation tea is shared after every class so we are sharing tea and yoga on Thursday 27 August and raising funds for human rights.

The regular Thursday night Kundalini Yoga class on this night is a fundraising class, with class entry being by donation and all funds raised being donated to the AmnesTEA campaign.

People are invited to bring their yoga mat and a donation along to the Inner Light Centre at 131 Keen St Lismore at 6pm on Thursday 27 August to raise the vibration and funds for human rights.
