Yarding increase at Lismore sales
THERE was an increased yarding of 455 cattle at Lismore Saleyards on Tuesday.
Quality again was mixed with some very good and some very poor in quality and condition.
The best of the light vealers sold to $1.92 which was similar to last week's sale.
Only a few good butcher yearlings were yarded this week and although the top made to $1.86 most were a few cents cheaper than last week.
Export cattle were again cheaper with bulls and cows slipping back further.
The high Australian dollar is not helping our exports.
Our monthly store cattle sale will be held at Lismore Saleyards tomorrow with the feature this month being 15 bulls.
These are mainly of good quality and will be priced to suit the local beef producer.
Steers, heifers and cows with calves will be on offer as well, so come along and buy a few.
