BLUESFEST has yet to begin, but already "writerly" types are turning their minds to the region's next big festival with the announcement early bird tickets for Byron Bay Writers Festival will go on sale on Monday.
From April 2, you will be able to buy a discounted three day pass on the festival website or by phoning 1300 368 552.
The passes will cover the festival's main marquee program, between August 3 and 5.
The purchase will have to be done on faith, with festival organizers still more than six weeks away from announcing the festival line-up.
However, once the line-up is announced at the festival's "big reveal" on June 15, the early bird tickets will be replaced by full price tickets.
Among those on the list for last year's festival included comics, such as Tim Anderson, Libbi Gorr, and Charlie Pickering, thinkers such as John Pilger, Bob Carr, and Betty Churcher, and creative geniuses, such as singer/songwriter Paul Kelly.
