
World’s most Googled homes revealed
During lockdown we've all seen a lot more of our homes, but with the help of social media we've also seen a lot more of celebrities' homes too.
Whether it's for interiors inspiration or we just want a bit of a nosy to kill time, many of us love to peek inside the houses of the rich and famous.

To find out which celebrity houses we're curious about the most, Rated People analysed Google data to reveal whose homes have the highest number of searches per year.
After analysing the search data around hundreds of the most famous people in the world, the research found that the most-searched celebrity houses are surprisingly varied.
The top 10 is made up of the homes of online influencers, actors, musicians, TV presenters, entrepreneurs and sports stars.

The results found that Kim Kardashian's house is the most Googled - with 168,000 searches a year.
The Los Angeles home, that she shares with Kanye West and their four children, is famously minimalist and is regularly shared on her social media channels.

Kim's half-sister, Kylie Jenner, comes in at joint second, along with actor and musician Will Smith.
Only one Brit's home made the global top ten, which was Ed Sheeran, who has built an entire estate in Suffolk where he grew up.

When it comes to sports stars, footballer Lionel Messi's and American football quarterback Tom Brady's homes make the top 10, while gaming vlogger Pewdiepie and beauty guru Jeffree Star, who have both made their fame through YouTube, also made the list.
"In our most recent Home Improvement Trends Report, we asked where homeowners get their design inspiration from - and the results showed that nearly a third use social media - often where celebrities share their homes the most," Adrienne Minster, CEO of Rated People said.

"With this latest piece of research, we wanted to delve a little deeper into which stars' houses were capturing the public's interest.
"Whether we're searching for inspiration or just dreaming of possible future homes, the sheer number of annual searches of the homes of the rich and famous show that they are of high interest."
THE TOP 10 MOST GOOGLED CELEBRITY HOMES

1. Kim Kardashian
American reality TV star and business owner Kim Kardashian is married to Kanye West and has four children. Her home is in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles in California.
The decor is white, cream and grey throughout, with wooden accents, including in their open-plan kitchen, dining and living room.
=2. Kylie Jenner

American reality TV star Kylie Jenner owns cosmetics company Kylie Cosmetics. She has recently purchased a seven bedroom, 14-bathroom house in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles.
The home, which cost $AU56 million, has a chef's kitchen, a bar and games room, sports court and a home cinema as well as an outdoor projection screen. Two guest apartments also sit within the estate for visiting friends and family.

=2. Will Smith
The American actor and musician, who is best known for getting his start in Hollywood on the hit TV show, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, lives in Calabasas, Los Angeles in a $US42 million mansion.
The home boasts basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, its very own lake, and outdoor pool. There are nine bedrooms, a meditation lounge, pool room, home theatre and even a recording studio.

3. Elon Musk
The engineer and tech entrepreneur was said to live in Bel Air, California but recently tweeted that he would be 'selling almost all physical possessions' and 'will own no house'. Two Bel Air properties have since been put on the market.
4. Pewdiepie
The Swedish Youtuber is one of the most-viewed on the platform where he posting gaming videos. He currently lives in Brighton with his girlfriend and fellow influencer Marzia, but is said to have also recently purchased a home in Japan.
5. Lionel Messi
The Argentinian footballer who plays for the Barcelona football club lives in a large Mediterranean style Barcelona estate.
The home was extended after the star purchased an adjacent villa and the grounds now include a small sized football pitch.

6. Tom Brady
The NFL quarterback is selling his Boston mansion currently and living in a rented house in Tampa Bay, Florida which features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, an entertainment room and billiards room that wraps around a pool.
=7. Ellen DeGeneres
The American TV show host is known to be one of the world's most fanatical property flippers, and is currently presenting from her home that she shares with Portia De Rossi. The hilltop Californian mansion boasts amazing views along with five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a cabana that doubles up as a gym, a two-bedroom guesthouse.

The decor and layout throughout the house is Balinese-inspired with beautiful statues, wooden furniture, cool art pieces and neutral colours found in each room.

The multi award-winning US rapper famously grew up in Detroit and has maintained a residence in Michigan.
8. Jeffree Star
The YouTuber and make-up entrepreneur lives in a LA mansion that has a French-style exterior, eight bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a two-storey gym, a spa and a movie theatre. The house can been seen in his YouTube videos and he's actually dedicated a whole video to a house tour.

9. Ed Sheeran
The UK singer/songwriter has purchased an entire estate in the village he grew up in - Framlingham. The incredible property encompasses 22 different properties, and has its own pub and recording studio.
10. Justin Bieber
The Canadian singer lives in California in a house that features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, a library and a home movie theatre which the pop star has turned into his man cave with its own bar and gaming area. The decor is modern and spacious with lots of grey hues.
