Workers, Stars need a win

TWO sides desperately in need of a win will meet at Richards Oval, Lismore tonight, when Workers host Italo Stars in Football FNC premier league soccer.

After a promising start to the season, Workers have dropped out of the top five after going seven games without a win, while Stars are languishing dangerously close to the relegation zone after just one win all year.

Workers will be forced to field a badly depleted line-up with five players missing, including their two most experienced in Anthony Alvos and Steve Morrissey.

With several possible replacements also injured, the Redmen face a tough match against a Stars side that has shown signs of being on the improve.

Kick-off is 8pm.
