Woollam building on success after big win

LOCAL builders were recognised for their achievements at the industry's night of nights at the Ballina RSL Club on Saturday.

The Master Builders Association Northern Region's awards night honoured the high standard of workmanship and attention to detail in residential, commercial and civil projects.

The Residential Builder of the Year was Heanesbuilt Pty Ltd, while the Commercial Builder of the Year was Woollam Constructions.

Woollam took out a number of awards on the night, including best aged care facility, best medical training facility, and best educational building.

Regional manager Ben Cummins said they had a dedicated team.

"Our prospects are really good in this region and we feel confident moving forward," he said.

"We also have good sub contractors and consultants."
