SCHOOLS throughout Ipswich have signed up to cash in on a multi-million dollar opportunity to secure essential new educational equipment.

The program enables schools to redeem their Woolworths Earn and Learn Points for a variety of educational equipment ranging from maths, English, science, sports, arts and musical resources.

From whiteboards to sporting equipment and musical instruments, schools have been able to select the resources that they most need, giving each participating school a major boost at no extra cost.

This year Australian singer Jessica Mauboy will be the face of the Earn and Learn project.

From now until June, shoppers will be encouraged to collect stickers for schools to redeem against a range of more than 9000 educational resources.

The Earn and Learn program is open to all primary and secondary schools and early childhood learning centres throughout Australia.

Last year a massive 156,000 items were distributed to schools in Queensland. In the past two years more than $26 million in resources has been distributed.

Across the Ipswich region dozens of primary schools, high schools and kindergartens have signed up to be involved in the program this year.
