Woodburn juniors have a great time

THE Woodburn Wolves junior soccer players were a colourful sight in their red and gold colours at the recent Casino Junior Soccer Carnival at Colley Park.

The small-sided teams from under-6 to under-11 had a full day of matches against teams from Casino, Goonellabah, Ballina, Rovers, Dunoon and even Mullumbimby.

Each age group had one team in the carnival, except the Under-6s who put in two teams.

"The first games started at 9am and each grade played at least eight games," junior Wolves representative Tracy Cummings said.

"The day finished with the last game at 3pm."

Every participant for the day received a beautiful medallion from the Casino Cobras Soccer Club for their efforts.
