Woman hurt in van accident

A FEMALE driver was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable conditionyesterday after a car accident between Bexhill and Clunes.

The woman’s white Toyota Hiace van ran off the road as she drove towardsLismore at about 12.15pm.

The westbound lane of Bangalow Road was closed for about half-an-hour as a result of the crash, with police managing eastbound lane traffic.

The van sustained heavy damage to its right side, including the right front wheel being snapped from its axle, and was towed to Lismore after the accident.

The westbound lane of Bangalow Road was reopened shortly after the van was towed away.

Police, ambulance, and rural fire service officers all attended the crash site.

No other cars were involved in theaccident.
