Woman dies in Kyogle crash

POLICE are investigating the cause of a fatal single-car crash north of Kyogle last night.

A 36-year-old female motorist was killed when her vehicle, a Holden Rodeo ute, left the road and rolled.

She was travelling south on Green Pigeon Road at about 7.30pm when the accident occurred.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Police and emergency services responded to a call from the public arriving a short time later, but the woman died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and evidence is being examined by forensic specialists.

Police said it was too soon to determine a cause of the accident but it appeared the woman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Police have appealed for anyone with information of the crash to contact them at Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the NSW Police Force online reporting page.

Police remind members of the public that information provided to Crime Stoppers is treated in the strictest of confidence and can be supplied anonymously.
