Woman dies after being thrown from ute tray

A 25-YEAR-OLD woman has died after being thrown from the tray of a utility vehicle near Bentley on Sunday evening.

Police were called to O'Neill Road, Bentley at 8:51pm after reports of an overturned ute.

There were also two male occupants in the vehicle, both aged 25.

One of the men was also travelling in the tray of the ute.

The 25-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both men were taken by NSW Ambulance Service to Lismore Base Hospital with one being treated for shock and the other suffering minor facial cuts.

Emergency services were called to the scene by one of the occupants of the vehicle.
