Woman charged over 2015 Knockrow crash

A WOMAN has been charged over a collision on the Pacific Highway at Knockrow last year.

Just after 9am on Wednesday August 5 2015, a 67-year-old Iluka woman was driving south on the Pacific Highway at Knockrow with two passengers.

The sedan she was driving collided with a van heading in the opposite direction.

The driver of the van sustained a fractured left wrist that required surgery.

The 67-year-old woman was trapped inside her vehicle for one hour and sustained fractures to her right arm and a compound fracture to her right femur.

Her passengers received only minor injuries.

The Far North Coast Crash Investigation Unit investigated and charged the 67-year-old woman with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and not keeping left of dividing line.

She will appear at Ballina Local Court on March 24.
