Woman in hospital after Australia Zoo snake bite

UPDATE 2.05PM: A woman has been taken to hospital after she was bitten by a snake at Australia Zoo.

The woman, aged in her mid-20s, was taken to Caloundra Hospital in a stable condition by Queensland Ambulance Service.

1.15PM: Emergency services are rushing to Australia Zoo to reports that a woman has been bitten by a snake.

The incident occurred about 1.08pm today.

There are no details on the type of snake involved or the condition of the woman bitten.

Queensland Ambulance Service crews are currently on their way to the Steve Irwin Way attraction.
