Woman arrested: Police find drugs, knife

POLICE from Richmond Local Area Command have arrested a 28-year-old East Lismore woman over a number of offences.

Senior Constable David Henderson said that at 2pm on Thursday they saw the woman driving a car in Goonellabah.

Police recognised her as a person who had two outstanding warrants, and pulled her over.

The woman was arrested and her property searched, Snr Const Henderson said.

During this search police found drug paraphernalia, a knife with a 10cm blade and medication which she did not have a prescription for, Snr Const Henderson said.

She was taken to Lismore Police Station where she was charged with custody of a knife (2nd offence), drive whilst unlicensed, possess restricted substance and had two warrants executed.

She was bail refused and will appear in Lismore Local Court today.
