Woman arrested over drug offences

POLICE have charged a woman over alleged drug offences after a vehicle was stopped in Union St, South Lismore.

About 1am on Saturday police spoke to the female driver and conducted a random breath test, which returned a negative result.

Further enquiries led officers to search the vehicle and three occupants.

During the search police allegedly located and seized 7.9 grams of methamphetamine and 25.1g of cannabis.

One of the passengers, a 33-year-old woman, was arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station where she was charged with several drug offences including supply and possession.
