Winter Ball raises over $8000

SATURDAY night’sEnchanted Winter Ball for the charity group Our Kids was a huge success, according to organiser Rebekka Battista.

“It was fantastic. We had 165 people at the Lismore Turf Club where it was held,” she said.

“In previous years we’ve raised $6000 to $7000, but this year we made just over $8000 and we are still counting.”

Our Kids will be looking at spending the money on blood pressure machines for the Lismore Base Hospital children’s ward.

Winner of the single diamond worth $2300, which was donated by the Lismore Jewel Centre, was Peter Warren, from the Bank of Queensland.

“I think his wife is going to get a lovely birthday present,” Ms Battista laughed.
