Wildlife Road Kill

I have noticed a big increase in the amount of wildlife killed on our Roads around Lismore, Alstonville and Ballina. I think there must be a lot of drivers who deliberately aim to hit wildlife, in fact just saw a story on FB about a Rescuer trying to help a wallaby on Richmond Rd, hazard lights flashing, torch in hand, when a vehicle deliberately ran over the stunned wallaby, very easily could have killed the person trying to help the wallaby.
It is disgusting and why are people who would normally seem decent turn into demons when driving their cars.
Everyone needs to be a bit more careful, slow down, be alert and mindful when driving, especially at Sunset and Day Break. Shrinking habitat has forced animals to live close to us, they are unable to judge the speed of a vehicle when attempting to cross a Road. Slowing down could very well save your own life one day !!
