Keanu Reeves' act of kindness to Aussie teacher
A MELBOURNE woman is desperate to track down a Hollywood celebrity after an act of kindness from him more than three years ago.
Physical education teacher Nicole Lewis-Jacobs had lost her way when holidaying in Beverly Hills when megastar Keanu Reeves struck up a conversation with her in a cafe and offered her a lift.
"I didn't know who I was talking to," she said. "I didn't want to get into a car with someone I didn't know, and then he started laughing.
"He said: 'Let me introduce myself, I'm Keanu Reeves.'
"It was surreal; it was pretty nice."
The Matrix star led Ms Lewis-Jacobs to his black Porsche parked on Rodeo Drive and took the lost tourist to meet her family.
"I got in his car and he had a movie script sitting there," she said.
"I've never ever read a script before; it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
"I sent my husband a text saying I was in the car with Keanu. He thought I was losing my marbles."
Reeves even opened the car door for Ms Lewis-Jacobs, posed in a photo with her and signed an autograph.
Ms Lewis-Jacobs said Reeves loved Australia and Bondi Beach which prompted her to buy him a piece of art featuring the iconic beach when she returned home.
"I told him I would send him a gift as I didn't have anything to give him to say thank you," she said.
"My dream is to go back there and give him this photo. I would do anything to give him the gift."
Ms Lewis-Jacobs said the whole situation was "surreal".
"I don't think every celebrity would do that.
"I was blown away by the whole situation and he said it was an absolute pleasure."
