Who to lean on to replace the Leaning Tower of Ballina

IT looks like no level of government is in a rush to stump up the last few hundred thousand dollars needed to replace Ballina's Marine Rescue tower.

That means it's up to us as a community to remind them one of the reasons they are there is to ensure vital, life-saving infrastructure doesn't get left on the back burner.

To do that, call and write our local MPs as well as government leaders and ministers.

Here are a few pollies you might want to get on the blower to and politely suggest they should get on with replacing the tower:

Tamara Smith, State Member for Ballina

Catherine Cusack, Member of the Legislative Council (lives at Lennox Head)

Kevin Hogan, Federal Member for Page

Premier, Mike Baird

Roads and Transport Minister Duncan Gay

Malcolm Turnbull, Prime Minister

Warren Truss, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development
