Which Block rivals shared this week's win?

RONNIE and Georgia managed to pull off a hat trick on The Block, well sort of.

The reno show 'villains' tied for first place in tonight's final guest bedroom room reveal with young guns Josh and Elyse.

After winning the weekly challenge and mid-week Domain judging, Ronnie and Georgia had hoped to take out the room win by themselves.

Both couples earned perfect scores from the judges for their sophisticated styling.

Ronnie and Georgia were praised for delivering a luxurious bedroom. Unlike neighbours Clint and Hannah, their floral wallpaper feature wall was deemed a success.

"The fact that it is not quite so dark as the wardrobe next door means that they can get away with the print," Neale Whitaker said.

"It's like they wanted to go out with a real flourish; I applaud them for that. People are going to walk in here and be absolutely blown away by the romance of this room."

Their accompanying en suite was the icing on the cake.

"Now I am officially blown away," Neale said. "It oozes glamour, doesn't it? What Ronnie and Georgia do so well is fuse the heritage with the modern. This little bathroom is the perfect representation of that."

In a very different, but equally successful room Josh and Elyse blended traditional elements with an eclectic colour palette, which Darren praised as 'not the trend colours'.

"They pull things together that are counter-intuitive but it somehow manages to work," Neale said.

Shaynna Blaze agreed: "This is the room for me that has the widest demographic today."

Jason and Sarah, once again, were runners up with their 'luscious' combination of midnight blue and pink and heritage details. They are still the only team who have yet to achieve an outright win this season.

"This would have to be one of my favourite colour combinations. Seriously, I am absolutely in love with that midnight blue," Neale said.

"It feels to me like they wanted to do the best by the house. Jason and Sarah are at the top of their game this week."

Sticks and Wombat finished third, delivering another 'soft' room with the added bonus of a TV that drops down from the ceiling.

"Would I be happy to stay here? Unpack my bags? Yes I would. I'd be very comfortable in this room," Neale said.

"In nine weeks the journey these two guys have had is extreme. They've listened to us but they've also done their homework and their research. I absolutely take my hat off to them."

Queenslanders Hannah and Clint finished a respectable last with a cozy guest bedroom.

The judges' only gripe was that the dark wardrobe competed with the floral feature wall.

"I like the wardrobe but it's very heavy. It's heavy there (the wallpaper) and heavy there. I feel like I'm in a vice," Neale said.

"Clint and Hannah are going to hate me saying this but I'd be getting rid of this (wallpaper). It doesn't feel welcoming.

"A lot of people will walk in here and go 'What were the judges talking about?' It's a very beautiful guest room."

'Poolgate' also continued tonight.

An expensive and tenuous deal was struck between Ronnie and Georgia, who need access to crane in their $15,000, and their neighbours Clint and Hannah and Jason and Sarah after a week of negotiations.

Clint and Hannah demanded proof of payment after discovering Ronnie and Georgia had 'lied' to them during the negotiation process.

Host Scott Cam finished the night on a positive note though, informing the teams they will all receive an additional $7500 to help with their backyards.
