What’s your guilty pleasure?

EVERYONE across the Northern Rivers loves to kick back and unwind in this beautiful region when they get the chance.

So this morning at the Northern Star, we asked staff what their guilty pleasures were during their downtime.

Chocolate - A common staple comfort treat/food for many people who like to indulge.

Coffee - Whether its a quality cup of takeaway coffee, top shelf drive through coffee, or just the morning kick start.

Alcohol - A tall glass of wine or an ice cold beer coupled with a delicious meal makes for a great lunch or dinner.

Reading - Immersing your self in a good book or even the weekend newspapers can be a relaxing way to unwind, whether you’re in bed, on the verandah or at the beach.

Watching online movies - Catching the latest movies or episodes of Game of Thrones through online streaming services.

Playing video or mobile phone games - Gaming has grown in popularity exponentially over the past decade via both consoles and mobile phone apps.

Wearing a onesie all weekend - Lazing around the house in your pyjamas or a onesie can be both relaxing and productive, if you’re disciplined.

Buying plants that you forget to plant - Browsing a nursery for beautiful foliage can bring gardeners great enjoyment, but disappointment when it dies weeks later after not being planted.

Buying food that goes to waste - Getting the freshest, healthiest, local produce from the farmers markets and taking it home but it goes to waste when it’s not used in culinary creations.
