What's on in Northern Rivers this weekend

Start your weekend in Lismore by throwing off those work clothes, grabbing the spandex and running off with the circus!

Circus Arts Indoor Fun & Fitness is holding Flying Trapeze Sessions Monday to Friday from 5pm and  two classes on Saturday at 11.30am and 1pm.

Learn all those tricks you loved to watch under the bigtop as a kid with the help of professional acrobats.

Classes cost $45 each or you can pay for five weeks upfront for $120.

Circus Arts Indoor Fun & Fitness is located at 17 Centennial Circuit, Byron Bay. For bookings or more information please phone (02) 6685 6566 or visit www.circusarts.com.au.

If you'd rather have your feet planted firmly on the ground, how about getting that heart racing in the Cancer Council's Relay for Life.

The emotional event takes place at various locations across the country each year, with survivors and their family and friends joining in the celebration of life.

This year's Northern River's walk begins at Kingsford Smith Park on Bentinck Street in Ballina at 4pm Saturday November 1st, with the candlelight ceremony of hope will commence at 7pm.

You can also find information when you visit www.discoverballina.com or www.relay.cancercouncil.com.au.

What better way to end a busy active weekend with a game of barefoot bowls at Pottsville Beach Sports on Sunday afternoon.

Take off those shoes, grab a drink and some mates, and enjoy the lazy afternoon.

Bowling starts from 2pm. For more info call Pottsville Beach Sports on (02) 6676 1077.
