What is that? Lizard takes up residence in Heather's house

WHAT is that?

Local woman Heather Rose found this creature inside her Goonengerry home on Saturday night.

She posted the photo to Facebook, and since then some have suggested it is a land mullet, while others have claimed it is a "giant skink".

Either way, the lizard is quite large - and has not yet left her home.

"I've seen it outside in the garden, that wasn't so bad. I'm finding it a bit tough going in my new digs," Heather said.

If you can confirm whether this lizard is a land mullet, or give Heather any advice on how to safely hustle the animal outside, comment below.
