Whale escapes from Kirra shark nets

A WHALE managed to free itself from shark nets in Kirra. 

A Seaworld spokesman said about 10am, their rescue crews were alerted to the entangled whale. 

However, they received a call that the whale had freed itself and the rescue was called off.

A WHALE is tangled in shark nets off Kirra beach. 

A Seaworld spokeswoman has confirmed rescuers have been notified and it's believed they're en route.
