Almost two million German TV viewers will see Fraser Coast

THE Fraser Coast will be the centre of attention after it has been chosen as the key destination to be featured on leading German reality TV show RTL Explosive.

A promo is to be aired in the coming weeks on German TV to an audience of close to two million viewers.

The reality TV show will invite German women, aged 18-30 years, to enter a competition with three working holiday prizes up for grabs in Queensland.

One job will be working at Enzo's on the Beach in Hervey Bay.

The second job will be at Kingfisher Bay Resort on World Heritage Listed Fraser Island.

The third will be working as a meter maid on the Gold Coast.

The owner of Enzo's on the Beach, Enzo Andreuzzi, recognised the Fraser Coast's selection as a major coup.

He said it was evidence the Fraser Coast was still a leading holiday destination for the German market.

"The German market loves the outdoors, they love nature and the Fraser Coast truly encompasses everything that the German market looks for in an Australian holiday," Mr Andreuzzi said.

"To have two products from the Fraser Coast selected out of a possible three is a great result for the region, and it is also a reminder as to how much the German market truly values the Fraser Coast."

Filming for the promo began in the Fraser Coast last week.

The three winners are expected to be announced in January.

The reality TV show will then focus on the experiences of each of the winners in their new roles, as they work for three months.
