CAMERON Daddo is the latest to take to hills in The Sound of Music stage production.

The seasoned actor, who honed his craft starring in television dramas, has returned home for his latest role as Captain Von Trapp in the Rogers and Hammerstein classic.

Weekend catches up with Daddo before the opening of the Brisbane season to talk about his latest foray into music and writing in Saturday's Weekend Star.
