Waves of laughter at Evans

THE Disabled Surfing Association landed at Evans Head’s Main Beach on Saturday to give a host of locals the chance to catch a wave who might otherwise miss out.

Hosted by the Evans Head Over 8s Malibu Club, and assisted by 40 volunteers from all over the district, there were smiles on everyone’s face, but none more so than the 24 physically and mentally handicapped grommets who took to the surf, despite an invasion of cornflake weed.
