Warriors prop Packer says on-field urination a regular thing

WARRIORS Russell Packer has admitted Monday night's incident when he was caught on camera urinating into his shorts just before the kick-off against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium was not an isolated incident.

The Warriors were fined $15,000 by the NRL, general manager of football operations Nathan McGuirk saying the behaviour was "completely unacceptable".

Packer told Channel Seven yesterday, "It is not the first time that has happened and it won't be the last time, but it is not really the biggest news story in the world.

"I was busting just before the kick off and unless the coach wants me to run off the field and play with 12 men for however long it takes me to get to the toilet. I'm sure players can relate to going to the toilet because of nerves.

"I am sorry if I have offended anyone."

Packer also took to Twitter to apologise for the act: "It was an unfortunate thing that happened i hope this apology eases your mind somewhat and helps you move on from it as i will be doing thanks russ."

The Warriors have five days to make submissions in relation to the breach notice.

Packer could also be charged for public urination.
