Warning after drug bust

POLICE are warning the public about potentially lethal drugs that may be for sale after a meth lab was uncovered during a raid in Coffs Harbour on Tuesday.

Coffs/Clarence police executed a search warrant at a Brunswick Avenue address and uncovered an amphetamine laboratory with a number of dangerous ingredients used to manufacture the drug.

Police said the chemi–cals found were not typically used in the manufacture of amphetamines and could easily result in death for anyone who consumed these drugs.

A 49-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was charged with manufacturing a prohibited drug, possessing the precursor intended to be used in the manufacture of a prohibited drug and having goods in custody.
