Wanted man found

POLICE have apprehended wanted man Adam Richards, who was wanted under two outstanding arrest warrants.

Richards had been wanted by police since failing to attend Lismore Local Court earlier this month for charges involved with a car chase incident where police said he used a weapon to avoid apprehension, and hit a police officer with his car.

At 6.30am yesterday police from the Richmond Local Area Command searched a Bungawalbin property where they found where Richards.

Police said that Richards had run from his camp in a shed and into nearby bushland, where he was chased and caught by police and a police dog. 

He was, arrested taken to Lismore Police Station, and charged with the two warrants and an additional charge of Domestic Assault, as police allege that after Richards was released from court on August 17 he returned to his Casino home where he then assaulted his 36 year old partner.

He then failed to turn up to a court appearance two days later.

Richards is due to appear at Lismore Local Court later today.
