VOTE FOR TOMORROW'S PHOTO OF THE DAY

WE had a huge selection of images to choose from in yesterday's Photo of the Day and the voters in our poll went with this one.

Amanda McHugh posted this image of a seagull in flight at Main Beach, Byron Bay, on our Facebook page and it picked up a solid 37% of the vote, putting it nine points ahead of the runner-up, a gorgeous shot by Iluka's Megs Burgess looking over the rocks of Tumers Beach at Yamba at sunrise.

Good Morning from the beautiful Turners beach in Yamba, NSW. Well, what a spot this is to watch the sun come up, with the waves crashing in on the rocks, it really makes this the place to be of a morning.

That left the remaining votes to be spread fairly thinly across the rest of the images in the poll, which, as always, is no indicator of how good they were. All yesterday's submissions were exceptional.

Photo of the Day celebrates the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the talent of its people.

As well as appearing here, it is published on Page 2 of the newspaper and appears as the cover image on our Facebook page.

To contribute to Photo of the Day, share an image to our Facebook page or vote in the poll below before noon.

We have four terrific images to choose from in today's poll.

Have a look and choose your favourite.

Voting closes at noon.
