Vote of no confidence on draft LEP

A MEETING held at Lismore Workers Club last night put forward a vote of no confidence in regards to Lismore City Council's draft Local Environment Plan (LEP).

Nationals Member for Lismore Thomas George supports the vote of no confidence.

The meeting, which was called by Mr George and attended by more than 200 Lismore City ratepayers, aimed to explain the draft LEP for Lismore, in particular the benefits and implications for the people of Lismore City Council area.

Speakers included Lismore City Council’s strategic planning co-ordinator Paula Newman, NSW Farmers Association board director Kath Robb and Coo-eeEE Property Rights Group president Kel Graham.
