AN Alstonville business owner has devised a way to save money and reduce her impact on the environment.

Philippa Roberts has operated Gingerlily Vintage Wares in the main street for two years.

In that time she has halved the number of lights in her shop and put the night lights on a timer.

This has lowered Philippa's electricity bill and reduced the shop's carbon footprint.
