Vinnies offers your Lismore Cup style at a bargain

SOME fashionistas at the Lismore Cup this year will be harbouring a little secret. Not only will they have saved a lot of money on their outfits, they will be helping out their community.

Michael Timbrell from the St Vincent de Paul Society said their store offers Lismore Cup attendees the chance to buy unique outfits at a bargain price while helping to fund local programs in the area.

"Our hard-working and passionate team of volunteers have been busily sorting and displaying a large selection of stylish garments for men and women," he said.

"They have collected a fantastic array of hats, shoes and bags that are perfect for the races.

"We have many designer labels and good quality brands on display, many of them brand new with the price tags still attached.

"When you shop at Vinnies, you are helping people in the local community who are experiencing disadvantage."

The Vinnies shop in Lismore will open for extended trading hours to help people with their last minute Cup outfits. The store will be open Saturday from 9am to 2pm, and Thursday morning on Cup day.

The Lismore Cup is on September 24.
