Bridge Street Choir to launch first video clip at Winsome

IT has taken four years but Lismore's Bridge Street Choir will launch its first video clip tomorrow night at the Winsome Hotel.

The event, Angels at the Soupie, is a major milestone for the ensemble described as the "choir for everyone".

The video clip is for the choir's original song Fluffy Pillow. Laurie Marriott penned the lyrics for the song while choir director wrote the Peter Lehner.

Winsome volunteer Margaret Lord said the theme for the launch night was Heaven Can Wait, and that the cafe would be serving all sorts of "white" or "angel" food.

Many choir members have already organised their outfits, so expect to see angel wings, feather boas and lots of white - although there will be at least one "angel" dressed in black.

There was plenty of excitement during rehearsals this week and Ms Lord said it was an exciting and busy time.

"This choir reaches out to people from all walks of life," she said.

"I love the opportunity of being able to express who I am.

"It creates joy and fun."

Fellow chorister Millie Cameron agreed.

"I've been in the choir for two years now, and it's a lot of fun," she said.
