ONE of the participants in last weekend's Lions Tourist Trophy has shared a video he took of the first leg of his run in the event.

The rider, who did not wish to be named, praised the event and the relationship between festival organisers and the police.

"The weekend had enormous potential and was a great opportunity for local businesses to benefit," he said.

"It was a pity that the event was cancelled due to one minor accident on Sunday. ... I truly hope the event is allowed to continue for many years to come."
