Video footage of Ocean Shores Tavern robbery released

POLICE have released CCTV footage showing a robber who threatened and tied up staff at the Ocean Shores Tavern early this month.

The man came in about 9.30pm, Sunday June 1, after all the customers had left, and threatened two staff members with a machete before tying them up and helping himself to the takings.

The dog squad was called in but were unable to find any trace of the bandit.

The bandit was described as having a dark complexion, about 185cm tall and of a solid build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper, dark track pants with white stripes down the sides and a black bandana across his face.

Anyone with information about the robbery, especially anyone who thinks they might know who the bandit is, should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
