Victim said 'no' to group sex

A NORTHERN Rivers woman accusing a young couple of raping and indecently assaulting her has alleged the man's girlfriend kept wanting her to have sex with the boyfriend during a night drive the three took to Ballina, but she refused.

The couple are on trial in the Lismore District Court on five charges, with the man pleading not guilty to two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and one count of indecent assault.

His girlfriend is pleading not guilty to sexual intercourse without consent, and to indecently assaulting the woman on the evening of February 9, 2008.

The woman alleges that while driving to the coast in the man's car the girlfriend asked her 'do you think he's hot?' and 'would you sleep with him?'

“She was saying he had a big penis,” the woman recounted while answering questions from the Crown prosecutor.

“I said I would not sleep with any of my friend's boyfriends.”

The woman said she felt uncomfortable before the alleged sexual assaults when, at a Ballina hotel, the man said to a bar worker 'a Vodka shot for my big-breasted friend'. She also drank tequila mixes from bottles the man bought her.

During a stop at Flat Rock beach lookout near Skennars Head the woman said the girlfriend told the boyfriend she wanted him to 'make out' with the woman, but he had not replied.

The boyfriend later took photos of the two women lifting up their tops exposing their breasts beneath a Byron-Ballina road sign.

She accuses the couple of sexually assaulting her after they later stopped the car on a dark section of Uralba Road.

While kissing each other the couple invited her 'to join in', but she refused.

She said the girlfriend then told her partner to get into the back seat (where the woman sat). The girlfriend performed oral sex on him and continued asking her to join in.

The woman alleged that when the girlfriend left the car, she wanted them to 'get it on'.

“I said what the hell is going on, and he said this is what she does, this is what she wants,” the woman told the court.

She said the man removed her pants and briefs then sexually assaulted her in the car after pushing her legs apart. He later sexually assaulted her outside the car and stood close while his girlfriend performed a sexual act on her.

The trial continues today with cross-examination of the woman by the defence legal team.
