Unlicensed driver has a spare in the boot

A WANTED unlicensed driver who was pulled over by police at Casino last night was charged with mid-range drink driving and found to have a person in the boot of the car.

At 10.45pm Casino police stopped a purple Hyundai at the intersection of Centre St and Bennett St.

First reports were that the man had four passengers in the car but on closer observation officers noticed a man in the boot of the Hyundai.

Officers soon discovered that the 22-year-old from Casino was unlicensed.

He underwent a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.

The man was arrested and taken to Casino Police Station where he was subjected to a breath analysis test that registered a mid-range reading.

Following the breath analysis police discovered the man had an outstanding warrant.

The warrant was executed and the man was charged with mid-range PCA and driving while disqualified.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Casino Local Court in March.
