Two titles up for grabs at Lismore
TWO NSW championships will be decided at Lismore Speedway on Saturday night.
The State title for the AMCA Sedans and the NSW Modified Production Sedan Championship highlight the card, which is also supported with speedcar racing.
A record number of competitors from four States have entered for the AMCA title.
More than 50 nominations have been received, with entries even from the Northern Territory.
The number of AMCA nominations caught promoter David Lander by surprise.
“I knew we would get a good field but to have 50 drivers on hand for the title is excellent,” he said.
“The fans will see a keenly contested event to be run over qualifying heats and a final.”
Meanwhile, the NSW Modified Productions Sedan Championship also has big numbers. Lander believes there will be more than 100 cars in the pit area from the three racing categories programmed.
“It is really a big night and just shows the interest so many competitors are taking competing here at Lismore Speedway on a regular basis,” he said.
“It is certainly very gratifying and rewarding for everyone involved with Lismore Speedway to see the response for this Saturday night.”
