Two stranded in rising waters

THE LISMORE City SES unit has sent a swift water rescue unit to Protesters Falls at the Nightcap National Park where two people are stranded in a car by rising water.

The Police Rescue Unit was called to Terania Creek Rd this afternoon and when they arrived at about 2pm they reported the people in the car were on the other side of rising water that was preventing them from leaving the area.

Initial reports were that the two people in the car had enough food and water for two days.

More updates as they come to hand.
