Two crashes on our wet roads this morning

UPDATE: 9:45am  THE driver of a car involved in a two car crash at Evans Head has been taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.

The man driving the other vehicle was treated at the scene by paramedics but did not require hospitalisation, a NSW Ambulance spokesman said.

The spokesman said paramedics were called off en-route to a crash on Bangalow Rd at Bangalow where a car had gone over an embankment.

A Newcastle Fire Communications spokesman said the man driving the car managed to get out of his vehicle and was uninjured.


INITIAL REPORT: 9:30am  DRIVERS are coming unstuck on wet Northern Rivers roads this morning with two crashes already occurring at Evans Head and Bangalow.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were called to Woodburn St at Evans Head after reports of a two car crash.

When they arrived at the scene, paramedics found two patients, a woman and another person, whose injuries are being assessed.

Fire and Rescue NSW Evans Head brigade are also in attendance.

Then at 9am, emergency services received reports a car had gone down an embankment on Bangalow Rd at Bangalow.

Paramedics and fire fighters are en-route to the scene.
