Two children found stabbed to death

THE bodies of two children have been discovered in a home at Yanchep in Perth's north and a man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition with stab wounds.

Police found the bodies when they were called to the home on Flight Vista late on Thursday night.

They are treating the incident as an attempted murder-suicide.

Coline Cooper, who lives several houses away, said officers knocked at her door about midnight to ask if she had heard anything, but she had not.

She believed the children were both under school age and the mother was a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) worker.
